About Zoë Deshmukh

Zoë Deshmukh

Zoë is an 11-year-old native New Yorker, who enjoys designing magazines to share with her friends and family. She made her first issue of Zoë Post when she was seven, writing and illustrating it by hand. Food often plays an important role in her magazines; an early issue even featured a superhero banana! Zoë is determined to eat her way through New York City, an adventure she features in “NYZ,” a YouTube show she’s created. She also finds design inspiration in street art and weekly visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Other pastimes include dancing, reading (especially mythology and history), and cooking. Zoë attends Pono, a democratic, urban, and outdoor educational program in New York City. She hopes her class inspires others to express themselves!
